Therapy Styles:
Over thirty years experience with various treatment modalities, styles, and theory. My approach is to look for themes and patterns that are often related to survival skills learned from childhood. Then together we look for ways to disrupt these old patterns and develop new ways of being in relationship.
Areas of Expertise:
Worked with trauma for many years but now my work is more with adjustment type issues utilizing background work with PTSD, Groups, and Outward Bound Techniques. I work with adolescent boys but limit my practice to three at any time. Many therapist refer male clients to me as I am a strong, masculine man who can witness another mans pain and be effective with working with feelings. Work with Couples on how they can repair the torn fabric of their relationship.

I have worked for over thirty years with Anxiety, Depression, and Mood Disorders both in an inpatient psychiatric setting and outpatient mental health. Nationally recognized (Used to be!) speaker, presenting at the Annual Psychodrama Conference in New York in 2001 and Toronto in 2002. He is currently licensed in the state of Washington and Virginia as an Independent Clinical Social Worker. |
