Therapy Styles:
Respectful, warmly personal, interactive, supportive of your chosen goals. Variety of traditional methods including Brief Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavioral, psychodynamic/in-depth emotional healing, and family of origin. Also more recent methods that work with the mind-body-spirit connection such as EMDR and Thought Field Therapy.

Areas of Expertise:
I have experience assisting people in healing the limiting effects of posttraumatic stress (PTSD) due to adult trauma (eg. accident or natural disaster) or childhood neglect and abuse (physical, emotional, sexual). I have specialized in sexual healing for abuse survivors. I work with people to free themselves from the limitation of depression and anxiety, including panic attacks. I assist and support people to manage stress, and to move through transitions and grief and loss in healthy ways. I guide people to resolve relationship/couple issues and to create healthy, enjoyable relationships.

Effective Methods from Energy-Psychology

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing facilitates freeing people from the limiting effects of past experiences. EMDR uses alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps as part of the process to assist people to reprocess past painful experiences.

Thought Field Therapy is based on the theory in Chinese medicine of energy meridians. TFT teaches people to tap on their own body in places specified for the particular condition being treated in order to activate healing energy.
